    I ordered a pair of shoes, that Big 5 didn't have in stock at thee time. They in turn gave me a Courtesy Card and said they'd call me within two weeks. Well it is now 15-days later and No Call............... The shoes were suppose to be in the Olympia store and to be sent to the Chehalis store.....Well duh I wouldn't think it would take this long to get them in!!!!!!!!!!! And No-Call Customer service needs some help More...
  • Garbage for sale

    I bought a pair of walking shoes and a pair of work shoes in the Roseville, CA store. The walking shoes were Dr. Scholls brand, so I expected at least fair quality. The soles and heels came unglued and flopped as I walked. I re-glued them with Shoe Goo, but then the finish began peeling from the shoes, it was only a sprayed-on layer of black vinyl. They became completely unpresentable. All this happened within only 5 weeks of use, most of it indoors. The work shoes were Luggs. While the uppers held up OK and still look fine, the heels and soles are molded with hollow cavities... More...

  • Poor Return Policy

    Yesterday I purchased a top that was on sale for $5.99 with cash. The top did not fit so I returned it later in the same day, with original tag on it and the cash register receipt. All I wanted to do was get a larger size. When I returned to the register with the correct size I had to show my ID. Corporate policy I was told. Really, for an exchange (same product) and I paid cash. So I reluctantly got my ID out and then was told I had to sign for the return. I will never, ever set foot in the store again.   • Gave me a refund and took my money!

    I am writing this so no one gets in the same situation I was put in. About 3 months ago I had a $50 purchase that I needed to return to Big 5 Sporting Goods. A younger girl helped me with the refund, and gave me a receipt print out that she said I needed to bring back when I wanted to use the store credit. Two weeks ago I went in and found something I wanted to purchase with the credit, and I was informed that the piece of receipt looking paper I had was not valid.
